These two objects are on my list to revisit with bigger aperatures and more photon collecting! The Eskimo or "Clownface Nebula" is a planetary nebua with a very bright central star. It is located in Gemini and an easy find despite its petite size....Next outing will be with a long focal length scope like my Astro-Physics 152 f/12....In the constellation of Monocerotis at the foot of Gemini , one finds Hubble's Variable Nebula-easily mistaken as a comet. Hubble's Nebula however is a reflection nebula that changes appearance over weeks....Its felt that the variability is due to knots of opaque dust passing close to the star R Mon and casting shadows onto the reflecting dust of the nebula....
