NGC 7889 in Cassiopeia is a large faint cluster that appears about the apparent diameter of the moon. It is approximately 6000 light years from earth and some 44 light years in diameter. This cluster is a nice binocular sight on dark Fall evenings when it looks like a grainy glowing patch. Brandon 130 f/8 apo, Canon 10D, December 2004, Colorado Springs.
