"E.T." Cluster NGC 457 Cassiopeia. This cluster is easy to find high in the northern sky during fall evenings. It has a controversial distance of 2,100 to 10,400 light years away in the Perseus arm of the Milky Way. To many observers, the cluster resembles the "E.T." of the 1982 Spielberg film "E.T. The Extra-Terrestial".....funny effects cold evenings have....Canon 10D, Brandon 130 f/8 apo refractor, Colorado Springs, Dec 2004
