M22 Globular Cluster in Sagittarius. One of the summer's glorious globular clusters ( the others being the Great Cluster of Hercules M13, and the M3 cluster in Bootes). This cluster is 10,100 light years from earth and slight south of the milky way plane. This is a field photo guided at the Rocky Mountain Star Stare in June of 2004. Canon 10D, Brandon 130 f/8 APO , stack of 4 x 90 sec exposures.
